Half a day later, Han Sen and the others arrived at the foot of Jilei Mountain.
Up close, Jilei Mountain looked even more magnificent. From time to time, thunder and lightning would descend from the dark clouds and hit the top of the mountain. It seemed that one could see the strange scene of thunder and lightning spreading over the rocks on the top of the mountain.
"Strange. Why haven't we encountered any creatures on our way here?
Something doesn't feel right, "Liu Gui said with a frown.
"Yes, something is wrong. The last few times we came here, there were many creatures in the mountains. But now, not a single one has attacked us. It is strange." Zhao Xuebin was also puzzled.
Han Sen thought to himself, "With the silver fox here, it would be strange if ordinary creatures dared to approach us."
"Isn't it better if there are no creatures to disturb us? That way, we can kill the Thunderbull as we please," Han Sen said, as he rode the Golden Howler towards Jilei Mountain.
"In that case, I will leave everything to you, Mister Han."
Zhao Xuebin was very polite to Han Sen. He then turned to Liu Gui and said, "Everyone, be careful! The Thunderbull could appear at any time. Do not let your guard down."
"Yes." The crowd answered loudly and slowed down their pace to climb Jilei Mountain.
Rumble!
There was indeed a lot of thunder and lightning in the vicinity of Jilei Mountain. The sound of thunder and lightning in the sky almost never stopped. Lightning flashed one after another in the dark clouds like a spider web, hitting the mountain rocks from time to time, causing a series of sparks to splash on the top of the mountain, like exploding fireworks.
Han Sen was at the front, but he slowed down. The environment was too harsh, and the Thunderbull had the upper hand. Although Han Sen was not afraid, it was better to be safe than sorry.
The silver fox stood on the head of the Golden Howler and walked around excitedly, looking up at the peak from time to time.
The group slowly made their way up the mountain. After an hour, they were already halfway up the mountain, but they still hadn't seen the Thunderbull that Zhao Xuebin had mentioned.
"Manager Zhao, could it be that the Thunderbull has already left?" Han Sen looked at Zhao Xuebin and asked.
Zhao Xuebin was also a little confused. "When we came here before, we would be discovered by it at the foot of the mountain. It would rush down the mountain directly. Even if it was at the top of the mountain, it should have rushed down by now.
But today, there is no movement at all. Something is indeed wrong. "
"Could it be that the Thunderbull has already left Jilei Mountain?" Liu Gui asked worriedly.
"Let's go up and take a look first. Don't be careless," Zhao Xuebin said with a frown.
They had been eyeing this Thunderbull for a long time, but because the environment here was very bad, and the Thunderbull could shoot lightning in a large area, even if they had more people, they wouldn't be able to do much. So, they had to pay a high price to invite Han Sen.
If the Thunderbull had already left, it would be a terrible loss. According to the terms of the contract, if they couldn't find the Thunderbull, Han Sen would receive half of the Angel Gene Fluid without having to do anything.
Everyone was worried, and so they made their way up the mountain. The lightning in the sky was getting thicker and thicker. When they were halfway up the mountain, a bolt of lightning fell from the sky and struck a rock three meters away from Han Sen. The lightning struck the rock, and sparks flew everywhere.
The rock looked as if it had been baptized by lightning for thousands of years. It had been polished black, and aside from the sparks, it hadn't suffered much damage.
The higher they went, the more frequent the lightning strikes became. After walking for a few minutes, a bolt of lightning struck a middle-aged man named Feng Lin, directly striking him down from his mount. His hair was charred black, and he almost fainted from the strike.
Fortunately, this lightning bolt wasn't very strong. That person quickly got up, but it also gave everyone a fright.
Everyone was on high alert, each of them summoning armor, shields, and the like, wanting to defend against the lightning attack.
More and more lightning fell, causing Zhao Xuebin and the others to suffer. Basically, all of them had been struck by lightning, and a few of them had been struck by lightning more than once.
Only Han Sen hadn't been struck. The Golden Howler was a big target, but it was ignored by the lightning.
Han Sen knew this was all thanks to Little Silver. With the little demon around, they wouldn't be struck by lightning.
Han Sen held Little Silver in his arms and whispered, "Little Silver, can you draw the lightning towards them?"
Little Silver tilted his head and looked at Han Sen, as if he was trying to figure out what Han Sen meant. But the fox's eyes looked cunning.
Before Han Sen could say anything, Little Silver jumped out of Han Sen's arms and returned to the Golden Howler's head. He looked up at the clouds and lightning, and his eyes flashed with silver lightning.
Boom!
A bolt of lightning fell from the sky and struck Liu Gui's head. Sparks flew from his helmet and he was knocked off his mount. His body twitched uncontrollably.
Everyone stopped and checked on Liu Gui. Fortunately, he was fine. They were all elites who had unlocked their gene locks, so they should be able to withstand a lightning strike of this magnitude.
"Manager Zhao, the higher we go, the denser the lightning will get. If we keep going like this, I'm afraid we'll all be killed before we reach the peak. Even if we find the Thunderbull, we won't be able to kill it," Liu Gui said, his face looking glum.
Zhao Xuebin looked at the lightning that was falling from the sky, and he looked worried. If they went back now, it would be like giving away half of the high-class Angel Gene Fluid to Han Sen for free.
But if they kept going, the lightning would be too strong. It was just as Liu Gui had said; they'd all be killed.
Zhao Xuebin hesitated for a while, then gritted his teeth and said, "We're not too far away from the peak. Let's keep going. If we don't see the Thunderbull when we reach the peak, we'll just go back down."
Since Zhao Xuebin had said this, Liu Gui and the others had no choice but to continue.
But since then, more and more lightning fell from the sky, and they were all very accurate. Eight or nine out of ten struck them, causing them to scream again and again. They all suffered different degrees of injuries.
Han Sen raised his head and looked at the peak. Although he couldn't see it clearly, he could feel a strong lifeforce growing up there.
He was sure there was something up there, but he wasn't sure if it was the Thunderbull Zhao Xuebin had mentioned.
No matter what it was, Zhao Xuebin and the others wouldn't have a chance to go up there.
The silver fox's eyes flashed with silver lightning, and it seemed to resonate with the lightning that was falling from the sky. Every time a bolt of lightning struck, the silver fox's eyes would flash with lightning. Then, Zhao Xuebin and the others would scream.
"Weird. Why hasn't the lightning struck you yet?"
Zhao Xuebin had noticed something was wrong, and after Liu Gui was struck again, he couldn't help but point at Han Sen.
