The black crystal in his Sea of Soul was like a black hole. It went through the Sea of Soul and sucked in all the lifeforce around it.
Han Sen was shocked. Ever since he had obtained the black crystal, he had not seen it do anything. But now, the black crystal was actively absorbing lifeforce. That was too scary.
With the speed at which the black crystal was absorbing lifeforce, if it absorbed Han Sen's lifeforce, even if he was a surpasser, Han Sen would be sucked dry in less than a minute.
Han Sen, as an evolver, would be even worse. He would be sucked dry in a second.
Han Sen was scared. When he ate the black crystal, if it was interested in him, the grass on his grave would have grown a few feet tall.
The black crystal kept absorbing lifeforce from the outside. He did not know where the lifeforce was coming from, but it was enough to sustain the black crystal for so long.
Han Sen was afraid the black crystal would absorb his lifeforce, but there was no point in being afraid. He could not take it out.
Han Sen opened his eyes and looked around. He wanted to see where the lifeforce the black crystal was absorbing was coming from. But the lifeforce in the air could not have been so much.
Unfortunately, Han Sen could not move his head. All he could see was the sword tree. But when he looked at the tree again, it gave Han Sen a shock.
The leaves that had been emerald green a moment ago were now somewhat withered and yellow. Even the ink-colored short swords hanging on them were now withered, as if they were rusty swords that had been buried in the ground for an unknown period of time. They had completely lost their previous luster and killing intent.
"The black crystal is absorbing the lifeforce of the sword tree." Han Sen was shocked. He did not know how the black crystal was doing this.
But this was good news for Han Sen. At least it meant the black crystal was not interested in humans. It was absorbing the plants that grew from the geno seeds.
But that was just Han Sen comforting himself. In fact, Han Sen was still worried. The black crystal was not interested in him now, but who could guarantee that it would not be interested in him in the future?
Perhaps the black crystal thought his lifeforce was too weak, so it was too lazy to absorb it. It was waiting to eat him when he was fat.
Katcha!
The sword tree was becoming more and more yellow, and the trunk was beginning to rot. Leaves were falling from the sky, and a short sword fell from the tree. It brushed past Han Sen's cheek and plunged into the ground, giving him a shock.
The shortswords on the tree were so badly embroidered, it looked as if they might fall at any moment. Han Sen wanted to summon Little Angel and have her carry him away from the tree. He didn't want to be hit by the falling swords.
But he did not get a response. He looked into his Sea of Soul and saw that Little Angel had turned into a light cocoon. She had entered evolution mode... of course.
"Weird. Why did she evolve on her own? I did not feed her the black crystal or anything."
Han Sen was confused, but it was a good thing. If Little Angel could evolve, Han Sen's days in the Third God's Sanctuary would be much better.
Little Angel was not going to be able to help, so Han Sen looked at the beast souls he could still use. Meowth and Golden Howler were the only ones left.
Han Sen had only brought Moment Queen with him, but she hated Han Sen so much that he couldn't let her out of his clutches.
While Han Sen was thinking, the black crystal stopped absorbing the lifeforce. Han Sen looked at the black crystal with confusion, and he noticed a few teardrop-sized liquids floating around it.
They were colorless and odorless, and they were transparent like crystals. But they were full of lifeforce.
"Weird. Is the black crystal unable to eat them all? Is it spitting out the lifeforce it absorbed?" Han Sen wondered.
But the lifeforce droplets were floating in his Sea of Soul, so Han Sen could not eat them. If he could, he would eat them to make up for his body.
Han Sen did not know what was going on, so he decided to let Meowth eat the water droplet to see if it was good for the cat.
However, Meowth only licked it a little and did not dare to eat anymore. The life force inside was too strong. It had only licked a little and it was already bloated. If it swallowed the whole drop, its body would probably explode.
Han Sen let Golden Growler try it, too. Golden Growler only licked a little, and its body was filled with lifeforce. It felt as if it was going to burst out of its body.
"This is good stuff, but Golden Howler and Meowth are beast souls from First God's Sanctuary. They are too weak to handle such a strong lifeforce.
I don't know how it will benefit them, though. "
Han Sen looked at Golden Howler and Meowth, and saw them lying there, panting. It looked like they were trying to digest the lifeforce.
Han Sen could not tell what was going on, so he opened his eyes and looked at the sword tree. It was completely withered, and all the leaves had fallen off. The black daggers had all fallen to the ground, and their lifeforce had been sucked dry by the black crystal.
"No wonder the black crystal stopped sucking. It has been sucked dry." Han Sen suddenly understood.
As Han Sen looked at the dead tree, he suddenly heard someone talking.
"Sister Lanxi, the Ink-Sword Tree is about to mature. There are thirty-four swords, and I'm sure we can sell them for a good price. I can get a lot of primitive creature meat." A man's excited voice sounded in Han Sen's ears.
Han Sen's face changed, and he thought to himself, "Oh, no! This tree was planted by someone else. I don't know if the owner of this tree is a human or a spirit. If it was a spirit, I'd be dead."
Han Sen wanted to get up and run, but he couldn't. He couldn't move, and he couldn't.
Even if he asked Golden Growler to carry him, with its speed, he would not be able to outrun an ordinary creature in the Third God's Sanctuary. There was no way he could outrun Han Sen.
Han Sen could only hope that the owner of the tree was a human. If that was the case, there would be no way to compensate them in the Alliance.
"Yes. The meat we get should be able to give us a lot of primitive geno points."
Then, a woman's voice sounded in Han Sen's ears. Although she sounded restrained, he could still feel her excitement and joy.
"Amitabha. I hope they won't be too angry when they see the tree."
Han Sen felt something was wrong. Although he could tell it was a human, the tree seemed to be very important to them. He prayed for the blessings of God.
