Han Sen wished to explain, but Qu Lanxi was already out of the yard. She caught up with Chu Ming, and together, they walked towards the orchard.
Han Sen shook his head and ate a bowl of meat.
"Meat of Coin Toad eaten. You have gained one primitive geno point."
The meat and soup gave Han Sen three primitive geno points. Han Sen was full.
"I'll just leave it here. They'll eat it when they come back." Han Sen put the lid on the pot and went back to the Jade-Scale River.
He wanted to see how the water vine and the three fruits were growing. He dropped a drop of water on the vine, and it should give the vine two or three months of life force. He wondered if that would be enough to make the fruit ripen.
Han Sen went to the water vine and saw that the three copper coins had grown to the size of eggs. They smelled good, and they looked like they were made of copper.
The place where the fruit connected to the vine was dry, and it looked as if they were ripe. Han Sen pulled one off.
It was heavy, as if it were made of copper. He didn't think it would be possible to eat it, and he didn't know what it was for.
Han Sen looked at it for a while, but he couldn't figure out what it was for.
But it was definitely something good. The water vine was like the Ink-Jade Sword Tree, and they were both primitive geno plants. So, the fruit would be useful.
Han Sen picked the three copper coins, but he didn't know what they were for. He put them in his pocket for now, and he planned to study them later.
Han Sen wanted to absorb the lifeforce of the water vine, but after he picked the three fruits, the water vine withered. Not a single lifeforce remained.
Han Sen wasn't a greedy person, though, so he didn't feel too bad about the three fruits he had received. He turned around and headed back to Qing Ming Shelter.
Qing Ming Shelter was a dozen miles away from the orchard. Han Sen saw many creatures along the way, but they all had masters. Without their masters, they wouldn't attack people.
Han Sen saw a small, blue-brick castle. Han Sen walked in and saw many creatures. He also saw one or two spirits, but judging from their lifeforces, they were servant class spirits.
Unlike a human shelter, there were not many shops here. There was only a market where people could trade goods. Many creatures squatted in the market, with many items in front of them.
Han Sen found it strange that creatures could trade like humans.
There were only creatures there, and he didn't see a single spirit. But he was sure they all had a spirit master, and the things they were looking after belonged to them.
Han Sen was very interested in these things, so he walked around the market. There were many geno seeds, geno fruits, and the flesh of creatures.
Han Sen saw a giant beast that was twice the size of an elephant. There was nothing in front of it.
Another creature put a geno seed in front of it, and the giant beast cut itself and shed a bucket of blood in exchange for the geno seed.
"Wow, creatures are willing to sell their blood." Han Sen sighed.
As Han Sen walked, he felt something tugging at him. He turned around and saw a red-haired monkey.
"What are you doing?" Han Sen frowned.
"Creak creak!"
The red-haired monkey squeaked and pointed at Han Sen's pocket. Then, it pointed at the things in front of it.
Han Sen had the three copper fruits in his pocket, so he took one out and asked the monkey, "You want to trade for this?"
The red-haired monkey nodded. It picked up something with one paw and brought it to Han Sen. Its other paw reached for the copper fruit in Han Sen's hand.
Han Sen pulled his hand back and shook his head. "You can't trade with that."
The red-haired monkey quickly dropped the item and brought something to Han Sen. It pointed at the item in its paw and said, "Creak creak!"
"Not this, either."
Han Sen didn't know what the copper fruit was for, but judging by its lifeforce, it wasn't something the red-haired monkey could trade for.
The red-haired monkey brought out two more items, but Han Sen shook his head. In the end, Han Sen squatted down and looked at the items in front of the monkey.
The red-haired monkey quieted down and watched Han Sen play with the items in front of it. Its eyes were glued to the copper fruit in Han Sen's hand, and it almost started drooling.
Han Sen squatted down to take a closer look because he used his dongxuan aura to scan the items in front of the monkey. There was a very special lifeforce in the pile of items, and it was different from the rest.
Han Sen pulled out a geno seed. It was the size of a grain of corn, and it was black. The surface of the seed was wrinkled, and it looked as if it had dried up.
The geno seed's lifeforce was no worse than the copper fruit's. It was almost dead, but it still possessed such a lifeforce. If it had been in a normal state, it might have been a mutant geno seed.
Han Sen looked at it for a while, and then picked up a few other fruits. He put them together with the geno seed and said to the monkey, "How about this fruit in exchange for your items?"
Qing Ming Shelter was only a knight class shelter, so he hadn't come across a single mutant geno seed. He had been wandering around the market for a long time, but he hadn't come across a single mutant geno seed. Coincidentally, he had come across one in this place.
The red-haired monkey did not hesitate, and it gave the geno seed and fruit to Han Sen. Then, it grabbed the fruit in Han Sen's hand and started chewing.
After the copper shell of the fruit was chewed up, a fragrant liquid flowed out. The red-haired monkey swallowed the liquid and spat out the copper shell that it had chewed up.
After Han Sen looked at the fruit, he put it away and turned to leave. The red-haired monkey pulled him back and pointed at his pocket. Then, it pointed at the items on the ground.
"No," Han Sen said, and then turned around to leave. There was nothing else that attracted his attention.
The red-haired monkey was in a rush, though. It reached its hand into Han Sen's pocket, wanting to take the two copper fruits.
