"Little Han Sen, is this a sacred-blood creature?" Old Huang asked, looking at Han Sen nervously.
Han Sen nodded and said, "It is a sacred-blood creature."
After that, Han Sen removed the bow from his back and summoned a Tiger-Fang Bee Arrow. He aimed it at the snake's vitals.
"Old Huang, get ready to fight," Han Sen ordered. He commanded Old Huang to set up a formation.
As soon as the arrow was released, the Mutant Tiger Fang Bee Arrow pierced through the wound of the black snake, and the entire arrow sank in.
The black-scaled snake screeched, and then it became even more ferocious. It rushed towards Han Sen and the others.
The black-scaled serpent opened its mouth and spat out poisonous flames that were emitting black smoke for over a hundred feet. The momentum of this attack was extremely frightening.
"Not good! This snake can spit fire, and it can also spit out poisonous smoke. Everyone, fall back!"
Han Sen ordered Old Huang and the others to fall back. He summoned the Dragon-Blood Snake to block the black snake.
The two beasts began to tussle. The Black Scaled Serpent's physique was terrifying. Even though it was heavily injured, its pure physical strength still held the upper hand. The Dragon-Blood Snake was wrapped around by the Black Scaled Serpent's thick body, and its bones began to creak as if they would break at any moment.
The Dragon-Blood Snake shrieked, but as soon as it opened its mouth, the black-scaled serpent spat out black smoke into the Dragon-Blood Snake's maw.
The Dragon-Blood Snake's screams came to an abrupt end. It was as if it were drunk, and it wanted to struggle, but it couldn't.
Han Sen put the Dragon-Blood Snake back into his Sea of Soul. If he didn't, the snake's bones would break.
Whoosh!
Another Tiger-Fang Bee Arrow was fired, and it pierced through another wound on the black snake's body.
The black snake was in pain, and it became even more frenzied. It tried to swallow Han Sen whole, spitting out poisonous smoke.
The area around them became a sea of fire, and black smoke filled the air.
Han Sen's eyes were calm. His body moved quickly through the thorny forest. He used the thorny bushes as cover to deal with the black-scaled snake.
The sacred-blood armor he was wearing was enough to protect him from the smoke and fire. As long as Han Sen didn't breathe, the snake's smoke couldn't do anything to him.
Han Sen used the bushes as cover and used his dongxuan movements to dodge the snake's attacks. He kept firing his Tiger Tooth Bee Arrows at the snake, and each time, he managed to puncture the creature's wounds.
If Han Sen's fitness hadn't improved a lot recently, he wouldn't have been able to fight the black-scaled snake.
But the fitness of a sacred-blood creature was frightening. Han Sen kept firing arrows at it, and it kept attacking Han Sen. And that was despite the fact that it was already injured. If it hadn't been, it would have been even more ferocious.
However, while the black-scaled serpent's body was able to hold on, its blood could not. Too much blood was flowing out of its wound, and gradually, its body became a little shaky.
Han Sen was not going to let go of this opportunity. He ran around the black-scaled serpent and fired many arrows into its wounds, making them worse and worse.
Eventually, after an hour of fighting, the black snake couldn't take it anymore. It collapsed, kicking up a cloud of dust. It had been struck by at least two hundred arrows.
"Sacred-Blood Creature Black-Scaled Python killed. No beast soul gained. Consume its flesh to gain zero to ten sacred geno points randomly."
Han Sen felt relieved. He had opened three of his gene locks, so it would have been difficult for him to kill the serpent. Fortunately, the serpent had already been injured.
Han Sen called for Old Huang and the others to come back. But just as he was about to carry the snake's body back, he saw a shadow emerge from a thicket of thorns. The shadow jumped in front of the snake's body, grabbed it, and ran off into the depths of the thicket.
Han Sen and Old Huang were frozen. It was a blue-haired ape. It was taller than most humans, but it was only two meters tall.
But it was still carrying the python's body, and it was running very fast. It didn't seem to be slowing it down at all.
"F * ck! How dare you steal food from a tiger?!" Han Sen was furious. He drew his bow and fired an arrow at the blue-haired ape.
The blue-haired ape didn't even look back. It moved the snake's body to protect it, and the arrow sank into the snake's flesh.
"Creak creak!"
The blue-haired ape turned around and laughed at Han Sen. Then, it picked up the snake's body and ran away.
"F * ck you!"
Han Sen was enraged, and he chased after her. He shouted at Old Huang and the others, telling them to go back first.
The blue-haired ape ran into the thorny bushes. Han Sen didn't want Old Huang and the others to risk their lives. Han Sen scanned the ape, and it was no weaker than the python. It was a sacred-blood creature, too.
Han Sen looked at the blue-haired ape's claws, and he noticed they were similar to the wounds on the snake's body. He thought it was possible the ape was the one who had inflicted the snake's wounds.
Han Sen didn't get far, but the blue-haired ape suddenly flashed with a blue light. It was running faster than Han Sen, even with the python's body on its back.
Han Sen was shocked. The blue-haired ape wasn't just running faster. It looked as if its body had sped up. It was as if a gearwheel had been turned on.
"Is this just pure speed, or is it time?" Han Sen was shocked.
The blue-haired ape's blue light continued to shine, and it moved faster and faster. It left Han Sen further and further behind, and it looked back at Han Sen and laughed. It was as if it was mocking him.
But Han Sen couldn't catch up. He was being left behind, and soon, the blue-haired ape was out of sight. Han Sen had no choice but to stop.
Although he didn't want to give up, Han Sen knew he couldn't catch up. So, he returned to the shelter empty-handed.
Han Sen thought it was just a matter of him not succeeding in his hunt. This sort of thing was very common in the sanctuaries, so he didn't think much of it.
But a few days later, Old Huang reported to Han Sen that the blue-haired ape was often around the shelter. It stole their prey and injured a few of them.
Han Sen frowned. With the power of the blue-haired ape, it would have been difficult for him to kill them. And yet, it only stole their prey and injured them. It looked as if it was trying to make things difficult for them.
"Don't leave the shelter for a while. I'm going to take a look." Han Sen returned to the Spirit Hall and brought Bao'er with him.
He was worried he couldn't catch up with the ape, but Bao'er was different. If that stupid monkey pissed her off, she'd be able to kill it with a single gourd.
