Because Han Sen couldn't pay for the geno armor, he couldn't make a deal with God's Retribution.
But Han Sen didn't expect anyone to help him. He didn't think God's Retribution could do anything to him in the Fourth God's Sanctuary.
After sending God's Retribution away, Han Sen returned to the Alliance. He had Zero follow him to the sanctuaries.
After Zero entered the sanctuaries, she appeared next to him. Han Sen asked her to look after the sanctuaries for him, and if anything happened, she was to return to the Alliance to find him.
"How can I tell Dad not to generate the geno armor?" Han Sen wondered.
But no matter how hard he thought about it, he couldn't come up with a good idea.
Han Yufei didn't want to give God's Retribution a way to contact him.
"It looks like I'll have to go to Planet Tariq."
Han Sen was going to take his beetle to Planet Tariq, where the New Community's headquarters were located.
But before Han Sen left, Zero came out of the sanctuaries and told him something had happened in Shadow Shelter.
Han Sen told him it would take him two years to generate the geno armor, so he didn't think it would be that soon. So, Han Sen decided to go to the sanctuaries.
Han Sen had set up the Ancient Sky Mirror in the sanctuaries. The creatures there hadn't been hurt, but a few of them had just died outside.
"Boss, you are here! I don't know why the Steelback Wolves are dead. I don't see any wounds on them." Cheap Sheep was guarding the bodies, and when he saw Han Sen and Zero appear, he ran over to them.
The creatures of Shadow Shelter were so fearless because of the Ancient Sky Mirror. Now that the mirror had stopped working, and a creature had died, it made Cheap Sheep feel a bit worried.
Han Sen nodded and didn't speak. He walked over to the bodies and looked at Gu Qingcheng, who was examining them. He asked, "Sister Gu, how did they die?"
Gu Qingcheng stood up and shook her head. "I can't tell. I don't see any wounds on their bodies. Their insides aren't damaged, either. Even if they were damaged, with Ancient Sky Mirror, they shouldn't have died."
Han Sen frowned. Even Gu Qingcheng couldn't tell what was going on, and Ancient Sky Mirror didn't work. They had to be using something special.
Han Sen squatted down and examined the bodies of the Steelback Wolf. He even used his dongxuan aura, but he was unable to find anything.
Han Sen did not hesitate. He pulled out Taia and dissected the bodies of the wolves. He wanted to see if there was anything he and Gu Qingcheng had missed.
The result was still the same. There were no abnormal injuries found in the bodies of the Ironback Wolves. It was as if they had all died naturally.
"Let's bury them all."
Han Sen stood up and spoke to Cheap Sheep. Then, he went on to say, "Tell everyone to return to the shelter. Without my permission, no one is allowed to leave."
Cheap Sheep and Green Cow went to do what they had to do. Han Sen and Gu Qingcheng returned to the shelter.
"Did you find anything?" Gu Qingcheng asked as they walked.
"Nothing."
Han Sen shook his head. He couldn't tell how the enemy had killed the wolves, either.
The only thing he knew for sure was that the Ancient Sky Mirror couldn't block that power.
Han Sen knew that if the enemy had used such a power, there was no way they were going to let it go. He wanted everyone to return to the shelter, so he could see what sort of power they were going to unleash.
He had to know what kind of power it was to find a way to deal with it.
After returning to the shelter, Han Sen sat in the Spirit Hall. He used his dongxuan aura to cover the entirety of the shelter. He watched every movement and nook and cranny of the creatures there.
Nothing that happened in the shelter could escape Han Sen's surveillance. He was waiting for the enemy to strike again.
"Father." Han Sen was sipping his tea in the hall when Death Goddess walked in.
"Meng 'er, come and have some tea with me." Han Sen sat next to Death Goddess and poured her a cup of tea.
After spending so much time with Death Goddess, Han Sen realized that she really did think of him as a father. Her heart was pure, and she wasn't cunning. Han Sen was happy to have such a weird daughter, and he gave her the name of Han Meng 'er.
Because he wasn't good at naming things, Han Sen's logic was simple. Death Goddess was his daughter, and it was like a dream. So, Han Sen came up with that name.
Death Goddess sat next to Han Sen. She picked up her teacup and drank it all. She looked like a robot pouring something into her mouth. She didn't look like she was drinking tea at all.
"That's not how you drink tea. You'll have to take your time." Han Sen smiled and poured Han Meng 'er another cup of tea. Then, he showed her how to drink it.
Han Meng 'er looked at Han Sen without blinking. Then, she copied Han Sen and took a sip. She still looked like a robot.
"What is the point of drinking tea like this?" After Han Meng 'er drank it, her black eyes looked at Han Sen with confusion.
To her, drinking tea this way was slow, but it didn't feel any different from drinking it all at once.
Han Sen smiled and stroked Han Meng 'er's hair. It was like a waterfall. He smiled and said, "You are still young. It's normal that you don't understand now. You'll understand when you grow up."
Han Meng 'er nodded. She mimicked Han Sen and took a sip, but she still looked confused. She looked like a robot that had learned to do what Han Sen did.
Han Meng 'er had been watching Han Sen, and she seemed to be copying Han Sen.
Han Sen gave her some snacks to eat. Han Meng 'er looked strong, and in a one-on-one fight, there were few people in the Fourth God's Sanctuary who could beat her. But in truth, she was just a child.
Bao 'er came out of nowhere and sat in Han Sen's arms. She said sweetly, "Dad, Bao' er wants some snacks, too."
Han Sen gave Bao 'er some snacks, too. The three of them drank tea and ate. Han Sen thought this was a good time. If Littleflower and Yanran were there, it would be perfect.
Not long after, Han Sen's face changed. He stood up and disappeared. When he appeared again, he was on top of the shelter's gate.
There was a gold geno core Bone Witch that was in charge of guarding the gate. It was lying on the ground, dead. But there was no sign of injury.
