Han Sen looked at the green eyes in the dark, and he was able to see what the owner of those eyes looked like.
They were lizard-like creatures, but they were much larger. Each of them was as big as a bull, and their skin was like gray rock. They almost blended into the night, and it was difficult to see their figures clearly in the dark.
Many of the creatures approached the stone pillar. They opened their mouths, revealing their fangs. Their tongues flickered like serpents, and there was some sort of saliva hanging from their mouths. Han Sen did not know if it was saliva or something else.
"What are these things?
Do the Chaos want to feed us to those monsters? "a higher race man asked in shock.
The monsters were coming from all directions, and they quickly surrounded the pillars. There were a few dozen of them, and if they really wanted to eat them, Han Sen didn't think they'd be able to eat all of them.
But the monsters didn't rush in. They just stood in a circle, watching them from outside the pillars. None of them stepped in.
While everyone was trembling in fear, they suddenly heard a long howl. The monsters parted to form a path, like soldiers giving way to a general.
Han Sen and the others looked in that direction, and they saw a monster that looked like the others, but it was a few times smaller. It was only the size of a dog.
The little monster raised its head high, looking very arrogant. Although its body was smaller than the other monsters, it was more spirited than the other monsters. Moreover, its body was not gray like a rock, but a dark red color. It was a bit similar to the color of a bloodstone.
When the other monsters saw the little monster approach, they lowered their heads. It was like they were seeing a king's subjects.
The little monster walked to the edge of the pillar area, but it didn't stop. It walked into the pillar area until it was right next to Han Sen and the others. It stared at each of them with its eyes wide open.
The little monster walked past Han Sen and the others, looking them up and down. It was like an experienced farmer choosing livestock.
Han Sen looked at the little monster strangely. He didn't know what it wanted.
The other higher race people were all in shock. They were afraid the little monster would bite off their heads. They couldn't fight back.
Yisha was still resting with her eyes closed. She didn't look scared.
Han Sen thought to himself, "I don't know when Yisha was captured, but she doesn't look like she's worried about being eaten. She must know something."
Han Sen knew Yisha must have hated him a lot. She wanted to eat him alive and gnaw on his bones. There was no way she would tell him anything, so he didn't plan on asking.
The little monster walked in front of everyone and then stepped back. It reached out its claws to touch the higher race people, as if it was choosing something.
Every high race that was touched by its claws was shocked. They were afraid that if they were chosen, they would become food for it.
The little monster's claws moved around a few times, and then it stopped in front of Han Sen and pointed at him.
Han Sen's heart jumped, and he thought to himself, "I can't be that unlucky, can I?
This guy thinks I'm pretty, and it thinks I'm delicious. Is it going to eat me first? "
The little monster pointed its claws at Han Sen and made a weird noise. Then, another monster came in from outside. It ran towards Han Sen like a hungry tiger.
The other higher race people felt relieved. It looked as if the monster was very picky about what it ate. Perhaps it wouldn't choose them.
But their hopes were quickly dashed. The little monster used its claws to point and pick out a few more high races. Then, more monsters came in from the outside. They went straight for the high races that were chosen.
Aside from Han Sen, the little monster chose Yisha, Vic, Rocks Fall Duke, and the eagle-eyed, bird-beaked higher race man.
After pointing a few more times, the little monster put down its claws. It didn't want to choose anymore. The rest of the higher race people felt relieved.
Han Sen saw the monsters coming, and he tried to think of a way to escape.
There was no way he could beat them, and there was no way he could escape. Han Sen thought about it and decided to teleport back to the sanctuaries to hide.
Han Sen looked at the monster in front of him, and he was surprised to see that it didn't seem to want to eat him. So, he decided not to teleport back to the sanctuaries.
The monster came in front of Han Sen and bit down on Han Sen. But it didn't bite into Han Sen's flesh. Instead, it bit through the ropes that bound Han Sen.
After a few bites, the ropes binding Han Sen were all torn apart. Han Sen was free again. He moved his wrists and looked at the monster in shock.
The other monsters that rushed in were the same. They bit through the ropes on Yisha and the others, but they didn't hurt them, making everyone feel quite surprised.
After the monsters bit through the ropes, they turned around and lay down like camels. It looked as if they were inviting Han Sen and the others to ride them.
Han Sen and the others were shocked, and they didn't know what the monsters were up to.
Seeing that they didn't get on, the little monster roared at them. It seemed to be urging Han Sen and the others to get on.
Han Sen and the others looked at each other, but they didn't dare get on. Yisha didn't hesitate, though, and she climbed onto the back of a monster.
After Yisha sat down, the monster stood up and carried Yisha outside.
Han Sen's heart jumped, and he climbed onto the back of a monster next to him. The monster did the same, and it carried Han Sen in the same direction.
Vic and Rocks Fall Duke gritted their teeth and climbed onto the back of a monster. The monsters carried them away from the pillar area and out of the oasis.
The little monster, seeing Han Sen and the others get on, screamed again. All the monsters retreated like a tide. They left the oasis and went into the desert.
Those of the higher races who had not been chosen felt relieved. Han Sen and the others looked like food that had been chosen. Perhaps they would be taken back to the monster's nest to be fed to the smaller monsters.
Vic and the others were very nervous. They didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but there was no turning back now.
The monsters followed them through the desert. The desert was cold at night, but the sky was clear. The stars were twinkling, and they looked as if they could reach out and grab them.
After running for half the night, Han Sen and the others saw a galaxy in front of them. Upon closer inspection, it looked like countless snakes were wriggling across the sand.
