Holy Heaven's Pool of Rebirth was a very famous treasure in the geno universe. There weren't many treasures in the geno universe that could help a King become stronger, but the Pool of Rebirth was one of them.
Although the rebirth power had some flaws, and the chance of a King class becoming half-deified wasn't very high, there was still a chance that something could go wrong. Even so, it was still a treasure that many races coveted.
Han Sen was led by a Feather King. Han Sen was able to see Holy Heaven's legendary Pool of Rebirth.
Although it was called the Pool of Rebirth, it didn't actually have a pool of water. It was a giant crystal altar, and in the center of the altar was an angel statue.
The statue was white, and it had angel wings. It looked like a goddess that cared for the world. It looked as if it could forgive all the sins of the world.
"The Pool of Rebirth can allow three people to be reborn at once. Otherwise, the excess power will be wasted. You know that already, don't you?" Fairy Feather elder said, as he led Han Sen to the altar. He looked at Han Sen.
"Yes." Han Sen nodded.
Before Han Sen came, the Sky Palace leader had given him information about the Pool of Rebirth. Han Sen knew all about it.
"Good. Sky Palace only sent you here to receive the rebirth power. To avoid wasting the power, the Feathers will send two Marquises to receive the rebirth power with you. Is that okay with that?" Fairy Feather elder asked with a smile.
"No problem." Han Sen nodded.
"Angela, Andola, you two will receive the rebirth baptism with Han Sen. Remember to be careful. Do not disturb our guest," Fairy Feather elder pretended to tell Angela and Andola.
Han Sen was confused, but he knew this was going to happen.
The reason Sky Palace Leader had sent Han Sen alone and not all three of them was so Han Sen could absorb the rebirthing power alone.
Before Han Sen arrived, he had expected the Feathers to send two Dukes to compete with Han Sen for the rebirth power. But now, they had sent two Marquises. That surprised Han Sen.
But when Han Sen saw Angela and Andola, he knew why they were the ones he was looking for.
The two brothers looked like Feathers, and they were as handsome as marble statues. Their lifeforces were Marquise class, and there was no mistaking it.
But judging from their presence, Han Sen didn't believe they were just Marquises.
Even among the Dukes Han Sen had seen, it was difficult to find elites like them. But their eyes looked as if they were looking down on everything. Nobles weren't like them.
"Were they Dukes? Did they become Marquises after the lantern went out?" Han Sen guessed.
Han Sen was only half right. Angela and Andola used to be King class, but they violated the rules of the Feathers and were sent to prison. They were tortured there for a few hundred years, and their bodies were damaged. Because of that, they went from King to Duke.
When the Feathers' lanterns were extinguished, all of the Feathers dropped a level. They went from Duke to Marquise.
Because they were locked up in prison, there were no resources for them to recover. So, they remained Marquises.
Fairy Feather had somehow convinced the two brothers to fight Han Sen for the rebirth power. They were Marquises, but they were King class. Their understanding of power was not something a Marquise could compare to.
After a few days of rest, they could become Dukes again. If they absorbed the rebirth power, they might even become Kings again.
Using the two of them to fight Han Sen for the rebirth power would make them stronger than ordinary Dukes. Fairy Feather thought that if the two of them were stronger, Han Sen wouldn't be able to get any of the rebirth power.
But Fairy Feather told them to leave Han Sen some of the rebirth power. That way, Sky Palace wouldn't be able to say anything.
"The Pool of Rebirth is about to open. Please, come to the altar." A Feather servant gestured for Han Sen, Angela, and Andola to enter.
The altar was big, and Han Sen found a place to stand across from the angel statue. He waited for the pool of rebirth to open.
Angela and Andola stood on either side of the angel statue. They sandwiched Han Sen, but they didn't look at Han Sen. They just stood where they were.
Angela and Andola didn't see Han Sen as an opponent. They used to be Kings, and no matter how famous Han Sen was, he was just a Marquise. They didn't need to pay attention to him.
Fairy Feather elder and the other Feathers were waiting for a good show to unfold. Only the Sky Palace envoys were waiting to see the Pool of Rebirth. They wanted to see how much Han Sen would benefit from it.
Yun Changkong looked at Angela and Andola on the altar and narrowed his eyes.
For some reason, the two brothers had been in Holy Heaven for a long time. Not many outsiders knew about them, and they had been locked up for a few hundred years. Almost no one knew about them anymore, but Yun Changkong was sharp enough to notice that something was off.
He didn't know the two brothers, but Yun Changkong was in charge of the Cloud Pavilion. He was familiar with the famous Dukes and Marquises of the Feathers.
Now, the Feathers had summoned two unfamiliar Marquises to compete with Han Sen for the rebirthing power. Yun Changkong smelled something fishy.
"These two brothers are not simple," Yun Changkong thought to himself.
Yun Changkong thought to himself, trying to figure out the true origins of these two brothers through all sorts of clues.
Yun Changkong didn't believe the Feathers had chosen two Marquises to give up on competing with Han Sen for the rebirthing power so that the three of them could share it.
The Feathers hated Kong Fei, and Han Sen was the one who had obtained the deified feather. There was no way the Feathers would allow Han Sen to take the rebirthing power. And there was also the Blood Feather Knife.
Before Yun Changkong could figure out who the two brothers were, the Pool of Rebirth opened.
Ripples spread out from the angel statue like water, and the angel wings that were wrapped in front of the statue spread out.
The entire altar lit up. As the statue rippled, it turned into a crystal-like pillar of light that shot into the sky. It was like a water pillar that stood between heaven and earth.
