Seeing the toads crawling around him, Han Sen felt depressed. "I'm not a toad."
From that day onward, Han Sen would no longer need to use the Cold Palace guardian tablet to absorb the cold powers and bright moon powers. He could also follow the deified toad up the waterfall like the little toads. He could absorb the bright moon powers that the deified toad spat out.
Han Sen's Jadeskin improved a lot because of this. Han Sen thought it would take him another year to become a Duke, but now, he was on the verge of becoming one. He believed that in two or three months, he'd be able to absorb a few more ice powers and moon powers. Then, he'd be able to become a Duke.
Once his Jadeskin became a Duke, he would have to find high-level resources. He couldn't be trapped on Planet Eclipse any longer.
That was a good place to practice, but if he couldn't leave that place, he would never be able to develop.
On the fifteenth of that month, Han Sen completed his mission as a guardian. He prepared to leave Planet Blade and return to Planet Eclipse. But just as he reached the palace, two Rebate officers approached him. Snowbird Duke was with them.
"Han Sen, Moonwheel Of Gojoseon wants to see you. Please come with us to Full Moon Hall," one of the officers said to Han Sen.
"Why has Moonwheel Of Gojoseon summoned me?" Han Sen asked with a frown.
Full Moon Hall was Full Moon Hall. Usually, only the Kings of Narrow Moon were allowed to discuss matters there. Moonwheel Of Gojoseon had summoned a Marquise there, so it was important.
"You'll know when you get there," the other officer said coldly.
Han Sen looked at Snowbird Duke. Snowbird Duke didn't look right, but she didn't say anything. She just nodded at him.
"Moonwheel Of Gojoseon and a few others are waiting for you. Let's go," the officer said.
Han Sen followed them to Full Moon Hall. Aboard the ship, Han Sen thought to himself, "Something must have happened to Yisha. Otherwise, Moonwheel Of Gojoseon wouldn't have summoned me to Full Moon Hall.
If something has happened to Yisha, then my days with the Rebate are over. "
Han Sen knew that the only person in Narrow Moon who was kind to him was Black Moon King.
The other Kings didn't like Yisha's student, though. After all, Han Sen wasn't one of the Rebate, and he had taken a lot of their resources. It was nice of them not to see him as a threat.
If Han Sen really did become so powerful, the Kings of Narrow Moon would be impressed. But the problem was that Han Sen's leveling up was so difficult. They didn't think he'd become deified, and they didn't think he'd be able to become King class. That was why they didn't think much of him.
Like this guarding mission, if it had been another Marquise, they'd have become a Duke by now. But Han Sen hadn't done anything.
In the past, Yisha was there to protect him. But now that she was gone, the Rebate wouldn't waste so many resources on an outsider like him.
"The Rebate are too small. They were born as slaves, and they're used to being poor. They don't have that kind of courage. It's a shame that Yisha is the only one with a big heart." Han Sen thought to himself. Now, he knew what was going to happen.
When Han Sen arrived at Full Moon Conference Hall, he saw Moonwheel Of Gojoseon sitting at a round table.
Almost all the Kings of Narrow Moon were there. Moonwheel Of Gojoseon sat in the middle. Black Moon King, Shadow King, Flower King, and Night River King sat on either side of him. They formed a half-moon shape, and they all looked at Han Sen.
"Han Sen is here to greet the King."
Han Sen bowed to Moonwheel Of Gojoseon, and then he stood where he was. His face was expressionless.
Moonwheel Of Gojoseon sighed. He looked at Han Sen and said, "Yesterday, the Extreme King sent us a message. Your teacher died in the systems of chaos. She didn't even leave behind a body. We are going to build a tomb for her. You are Knife's only student, so you will have to help us with this."
"I will do my best. I hope Moonwheel Of Gojoseon can tell me how she died." Han Sen bowed, but he felt strange.
Yisha could be said to be his opponent or enemy. He pretended to be Yisha's disciple, but Yisha seemed to have other plans for taking him as her disciple.
But after a while, Yisha had been very nice to him. She had given him many opportunities. If Han Sen hadn't had those opportunities, he wouldn't have been able to achieve what he had in ten years.
So, his feelings toward Yisha were very complicated. When he heard that she had died, he felt strange. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"According to the messengers of the Extreme King, Knife was part of a group that attacked a deified xenogeneic. She was eaten. Nothing was left of her …" Moon Wheel King sighed as he spoke.
Moonwheel Of Gojoseon's sigh wasn't fake. It wasn't easy for the Rebate to produce a half-deified, and Yisha was the Rebate with the highest chance of becoming deified.
Losing Yisha was a big blow to the Rebate.
But if Yisha didn't go to the Extreme King, she wouldn't have a chance to become deified. Even if she survived, she would be stuck at half-deified for the rest of her life.
For someone like Yisha, stopping at half-deified for the rest of her life was worse than killing her.
Han Sen was speechless. She had been killed by a deified xenogeneic, and nothing had been left of her. That was a clean death. It didn't seem like Yisha's style.
After Moonwheel Of Gojoseon finished speaking, Night River King went on to say, "After dealing with Knife Queen's tomb, there are some other things I need you to deal with. You are Knife's only student, so you will have to inherit some of her possessions. I will check them out and then hand them over to you."
Han Sen knew that was the most important thing. He didn't know how much the Rebate would allow him to inherit.
But that wasn't something Han Sen could control. Night River King didn't want to check with him, either. It was a one-sided decision.
Han Sen knew this was going to happen, so he didn't say anything. After listening, he left Full Moon Conference Hall and went to deal with Yisha's funeral.
"The Extreme King's reward should go to Han Sen, as a student," Black Moon King said, but before he could finish, Night River King interrupted him.
"Han Sen isn't a Rebate. He doesn't have what it takes. We have already discussed this. There is no need to say anything more," Night River King said firmly.
